Team Arrow had defeated Prometheus and had escaped Lian Yu.

But in the process the last few weeks had wrecked Thea enough that a simple summer cold had basically knocked her flat. Nothing serious thankfully, just a combo of stress and a summer cold messing her up all at once.

So she was basically stuck indoors on bed rest for a mere cold when she felt that now familiar chill that was Trunks's typical arrival. Little did she know it was a wild round of time travel phone tag since Felicity had called Ray who called Rip who called Trunks. Between coughing fits she calls from the sofa,"I know that chill anywhere!" as a nasty sneeze can be heard. But he would find her on the couch with enough tissues to stock a small army and looking as miserable as she sounded on the phone the prior night when she made it back to Star City.

Close as she was, Thea likely felt the blush start to rise, heat in his cheek from where she'd kissed and nuzzled. "I..didn't want to presume." It was murmured shyly, but from the way his arm tightened around her, he certainly wasn't unhappy. Tilting his head up enough to kiss her, soft and affectionate. Not pushing for more, just...glad she was there.

Breaking it softly, voice quiet. "Feeling any better?"

"Does wanting to lose the crutches count as a good thing?" Thea's able to joke a bit more, that's a good sign so far. Another kiss is dropped in the process,"And for some reason I'm craving a cheeseburger, with extra bacon." another good sign along with the cuts and bruises fading a lot more in the process.

"Consider them lost, Tough Girl. Want me to break 'em too?" Because he will, and the smile is affectionately smug. The kisses are more than welcome too, as is the cuddling.

"I think I can manage that for dinner, just...don't ask Chronoa to cook." The miracle of Senzu-beans; physically it's a matter of seconds before she's back to 100%.

"So what else do I need to do to help you settle in here?"

"Let's keep the crutches for a little while? Maybe we can prank Oliver at some point?" that being a huge sign of Thea's true self, she is not above a good prank. "And bacon burgers should be a breeze." going for another joke along with a kiss. "And how bad? Oliver's gotten better as a cook but at one time he ruined eggs."

Fine, no breaking the crutches yet. A grin in return, and nuzzling her nose with his. It was funny; for all that Trunks was a physical person, displays of affection had been new. And sometimes he still worried about if he was going too fast, or too slow--given he'd never had a girlfriend before.

But all the kisses were nice, and returned. Having her feeling better in at least one way was better too. Because she was happier, and he could hold her without worrying about her being in pain. Slender curves and strength; she was tiny compared to him. While he knew just how capable she was too, it still made him feel protective.

"Bad enough that the only reason I stomach her pudding is out of politeness because she's my boss?" Thea knew what his appetite was like, and how he hadn't turned down things yet. "She knows you're on recovery mode though. I think she's looking forward to actually talking in person. As opposed to care-packages."

Another kiss, and a blush--since Chronoa HAD sent along a care package for Thea before. Which had included a rather nice, if short, nightgown. Which had caused Trunks to flush entirely when Thea wore it. The heat from desire and from embarrassement-and-nerves.

Chronoa wasn't above some pranking or some match-making, apparently.

Thea wants to pull off at least one good prank before ditching the crutches for good. "And yikes! Pudding should be bad cook proof to boot!" she giggled, a sign she was almost bad was her sense of humor. "And it'll be nice to chat in person, one perk of this trip is getting to know your world a lot better. That includes the people."

"Not that there are many around here." Honestly, it was a bit of a lonely life. But Trunks didn't mind--Rip and his 'legends' helped, when they weren't driving Chrona crazy. He also did visit with his mother still, and stay active in his own time-line and world.

"I should probably worry about what she'd tell you, to tease me." Said while nuzzling Thea's forehead and followed with one more kiss. Along with a tighter hug, before getting to his feet.

Keeping one hand in hers though, and pulling her with him. "So let's start with the tour, and then we can end up back here for dinner and real resting."

Which meant out of the house, and while he's sure she saw some of it when she arrived, it was probably a bit of a blur. Once they were outside, it was clear the area they were in was large. At least as large as a giant athletic stadium, all topped with a green glass dome. Trunks' house was near a small river along a cobbled path at one end, while there were two other structures. One larger than either house, with a tree growing up and out towards the dome, to the point where it wasn't clear if the dome was open or not up top.

"This is the Time Nest, all of it, but that building there is the Time Vault. Don't go past the entry of it without permission, as it's really easy to mess up time without meaning to, and that's where the scrolls are all kept. That's also where Chronoa lives."

Despite the size, it was mostly open space--except for the other house, with a bunch of mechanical parts outside of it too. "That's a work shop, for now. We're trying to see if we can figure out a way to make time-machines without too much disruption to events. The Waverider is a special case, given Rip's working for Chronoa like I am, and is docked outside."

Following the paved path, as they headed out and through a large archway. Outside was a large space--almost like a giant platform. Paved and with a river running through the grounds, before spilling off to the side. Clear sky around, the view never quite consistent but always pleasant. There were hints of what would eventually become a more formal structure, but for now it was simply a raised platform with stairs and a giant hourglass above it. Bridges helped cross over the river, and there was lots of greenery and quite an Earth-Asian feel to things. There was at least one other large building with clear space in front of it. Also seen were some smaller buildings, including another domed-house.

"This is the main plaza, and where Rip lands the Waverider. There isn't really much here, yet, but I think Chronoa has plans for the future. Rip stays out here, to be closer to his ship. That building " Trunks pointed to the larger one "is a training arena."

Which kind of was really the basic tour of the Time Nest and plaza.

"Got any good stories of the legends you can share?" Thea also knew how to draw Trunks out and sharing stories was part of that. Post kiss and hug they were outside and Thea was blown away, the walls had been closing in but this just blew her period. "This is like Star City and Central City together space wise?" she was trying and failing to do the math. But just being out was a spirit boost,"You were telling me about that, less of the warping cold if I remember right?" she added. She nods, Rip does strike her as sticking to the ship. And from what you've told me along with Ray I'm not shocked time accidents have happened."

"If anything, Ray doesn't know a lot. Chronoa gave me an earful, and I'm pretty sure she chewed Rip out a time or two as well. He's at least still allowed to use his ship. I'm not allowed to use mine."
Not that it bothered Trunks most of the time; he and Rip were similar but different. Rip definitely gave Chronoa more headaches.

"I don't really interact much with the legends, although I heard they got sent recently on something I normally deal with. Kind of like how I was sent to deal with some of the stuff your way. Not sure how that went, although I think they were marveling at dino-burgers."

It was definitely interesting being outside--even just outside of the Nest. Hard to describe at the best of times, but it was it's own little world, with the scenery around them ever changing. "Like I said though, aside from the Time Vault's secure areas, you're free to go where you want here. Just don't go taking any time machines. Not that I think you would." A grin sent her way.

"I just get the stories." Thea observed. But she does giggle at the Legends and dino-burgers,"They will never pass on an excuse to do one of two things: eat or start a bar fight." since the stories Sara has shared are proof. "And totally noted." in the process her hand easily slipping into his.

When her hand slipped into his, he squeezed in reassurance. More than happy with the contact and affection. "You've been to my world, you know what the burgers are like." With approval, and a smile.

"That said, you did mention wanting food, and we should get you settled. Ready to go back indoors for a bit at least?"

"Food and then we go back inside." Thea nodded as she squeezed Trunks's hand once more. "And well I know the Legends, if its not a fight its food they want right?" able to joke around more now that she was more herself again. "And I brought a few new movies too, couple you asked about and Felicity sent a couple along too."

"So dinner and cuddling on the couch. Sounds perfect." Keeping her hand in his, and moving to head back across the plaza to the core of the nest. Which was where his house was, besides the Time-vault. He was not the best cook, but Trunks could reheat things at least, and make them edible.

That was the plan for that night; he'd like to take Thea out properly some time while she visited, but only if she was comfortable. For all that the senzu had helped her physically, mental and emotional wounds were tougher and he knew it.

Pausing just inside the doorway, bringing her hand up where it was still joined with his own, Trunks kissed her knuckles softly. "If you'd rather, there...is also a tv-set up in the bedroom. Even if you're feeling better physically, sometimes the rest of it still hits you hard--I speak from experience."
