Entry Point From Canon: Last ten minutes of "Broken Arrow" from season 3 (when she was stabbed by Ra's Al Ghul), pre pit and bloodlust free since that whole arc bothers me.
Media Type: TV Series
Powers/Abilities/Skills: Vanilla human female in early 20s but is a trained and expert archer and is trained in a few other fighting styles. She's also in amazing shape and is smarter than she looks at times.
Heroic/Villainous/Neutral: Heroic
Mentor/Journeyman/Rookie: Rookie
If she was being honest Thea would admit she was a total brat in the 5 years Oliver was on the island. But before that she had been a classic good girl with a loving family and plenty of friends. She did change during that 5 years, quickly becoming reckless and embracing everything crazy. She also took to booze and occasional pills to drown her pain, quickly becoming bitter when Oliver does return. But over the 3 seasons to date she's grown up emotionally and has become a mature young businesswoman in a happy and stable (well given that Roy is also Arsenal) relationship. She loves deeply, is very loyal to her family and the handful she can trust and has been clean for almost 2 years (something she's quite proud of). Sure she's still got an occasional moment of impulsive thinking and is still a little reckless, but Thea Queen has become a fighter and a woman that nobody would have seen just 3 years ago.
Once she recovers from the stabbing she'll also live in fear of having a relapse while trying to understand a place very much not her own. Add in not having the people she loves around and cue a somewhat darker and rawer Thea. But once she can trust someone she'll quickly bloom into that confident and brave young woman she's quickly become.
As for her being a rookie since she is being pulled a few weeks before taking the reins of Speedy in canon it will hopefully mirror a small portion of her in canon journey.
Which Area(s) Of The City Interest You For Your Character? City of Shadows will be calling when she wants to patrol as Speedy and make a difference no matter how small. City of Laughter will remind her of the fun side and be her reminder to smile and laugh again. City of Nightmares will be self imposed penance until she faces her ghosts. City of Romance will remind her to maybe find love again and City of Adventure will call to her inner daredevil.

Anything Else?: I do headcanon she has been dealing with depression since the Queen's Gamnbit accident but hides it really well from those she can't trust. I also acknowledge Thea's past as an addict as per canon.
